From an entry-level faired KTM to a full-blown litre-class supersport, 2026 will be a big year for performance bike enthusiasts.

1) KTM RC 160

KTM recently launched the 160 Duke, making it the most affordable KTM in India. The KTM RC 160, its fully-faired sibling, has been spotted testing with a sharper design, clip-on handlebars, and a more aggressive riding posture. Powered by the same 160cc engine, it’s aimed at beginners looking for a sporty faired motorcycle.

2) Yamaha R3 (Updated Model)

Yamaha unveiled the updated R3 in Japan in March 2025. With rumours of the current India-spec model being discontinued, Yamaha is expected to bring the 2025 Yamaha R3 to India. The 300cc Japanese supersport remains a favourite among enthusiasts for its balance of performance and usability.
Expected launch: Mid-2026

3) Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R (Updated)

Unveiled at EICMA 2025, the updated Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R features aerodynamic winglets for higher downforce and a new 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. Being the best-selling litre-class supersport in India, the updated model’s India launch is only a matter of time.
Expected launch: Mid-2026

4) Yamaha R7

Showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Yamaha R7 is powered by a 689cc parallel-twin engine producing 73.4PS and 67Nm. Originally planned for 2025, the launch was delayed due to E20 fuel norms. Like the R3, the R7 is now expected to arrive next year.

5) Norton Manx R

TVS-owned Norton is gearing up to enter the Indian market, and the Norton Manx R will be its flagship supersport. Powered by a 1200cc V4 engine producing 206PS and 130Nm, it’s designed to rival the Ducati Panigale V4. This will be a niche, ultra-premium offering for serious collectors.

TVS Apache RR 450

TVS showcased the Tangent RR concept at EICMA 2025, previewing the next-gen Apache RR 450. The bike will use a 420cc parallel-twin engine co-developed with BMW Motorrad (shared with the BMW F 450 GS platform). While a 2026 launch isn’t confirmed, an unveiling at EICMA 2026 looks likely.
