The 2026 model of the popular 125 cc roadster, Honda CB125R, has officially been unveiled with a fresh new colour palette, though under the skin, it remains the same familiar machine.

What’s New in the 2026 Honda CB125R?

Honda has introduced four new colour options for the 2026 CB125R:

  • Matt Rock Gray
  • Matt Lucent Silver Metallic
  • Zefiro Blue Metallic
  • Matt Pearl Diaspro Red

The update preserves the motorcycle’s signature Neo Sports Café styling, featuring sharp tank extensions, a slim tail section, and the iconic round LED headlamp that gives it a modern-retro street-bike appearance.

What’s Been Kept the Same

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing around 15 bhp, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The chassis setup also remains intact, including:

  • 41 mm Showa SFF-BP USD front forks
  • Radial-mounted brakes with a 296 mm floating front disc
  • IMU-based lean-sensitive ABS

The overall dimensions, 17-inch wheels, tyre setup (110/70 front and 150/60 rear), and upright riding posture are all unchanged from the previous model.

Market Perspective & India Outlook

The CB125R continues to perform strongly in European markets, where it remains one of the top-selling 125 cc motorcycles. However, there is no official confirmation regarding its launch in India. With India’s price-sensitive 125 cc segment, a colour-only update may not justify a higher price tag compared to existing models in the lineup.

Bottom Line

The 2026 Honda CB125R is essentially a cosmetic refresh, offering new colours while retaining the same engine, hardware, and character. For global markets, the updated shades add more visual appeal. For Indian buyers, the wait continues as there is no clarity on whether this updated model will arrive in the country.
